Beauty Lies In The Eye Of The Beholder

Hey guys am back with yet another blog post, with yet another perspective on life. As the title says it all i.e., Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. As much as am gonna give an insight on this topic, it is also a famous proverb many have heard or read about said by Plato. I would be a lie on my part to tell i don't like dressing or appreciating ones appearance but a person's inner beauty is something that stands out in-front of all the outer appearance for me as a person. Back to the saying -

How many appreciate a person's appearance not knowing how they are as a person?

Is it wrong to only appreciate the outer appearance and not the inner beauty of a person?

How many even think about it?

Unfortunately, there are very few who hold importance of a person's inner appearance and their qualities, than their outer appearance. It isn't wrong to appreciate a person's appearance but it is surely wrong to appreciate only their outer appearance than their inner beauty. There was a  time when only women invested money on their appearance to look more beautiful but in today's world men aren't far behind. Wonder why?

With media being a huge source of communication, it brings in the perspective of how beautiful people look on television or any other source of media, be it an actor, or any other public figure or having just an appearance in any media. All the self confidence, self-realization and appreciation of oneself comes from what people see you like, not what you feel about yourself. For example if a person is plump, or they have pimples, blemishes, dark skin, deformed face, acid accident or as simple as not dressing up-to someone standard of expectations, how easy it is for people to cringe at one look. No offence to the people who look beyond all this and still love and appreciate a person. But in today's ongoing trend there is increased interest in terms of how they appear in terms of looks. There are cases were husband/wife or even family don't like the person with flaws in outer appearance as they say it, which has ended in hazard cases. It is so important for a person to have a clear skin, fair skin, soft skin, perfect facial features and so on? Is it not important for a person to have a clear heart, good character, a giving nature and simplicity ? Why is it important to spend thousands, lakhs or crores to make oneself look more beautiful than they already are? This is all the people out there, it's ok to pamper yourself with self indulgence stuff or dress up for yourself but don't get into it so much that you stop appreciating yourself. Everyone is god gifted with the way they appear or the qualities each one possess. Value them before you lose the essence of it in life. Appreciate yourself and even you husband/wife or daughter/son or any family member or any loved one. Don't ever pass a ill remark to them, you may not know what you may drive them into. Constructive criticism is good at times but too much critics can be destructive too.

Ending on a lighter note, when you gaze at a waterfall, you immediately appreciate its beauty but don't bother to look within the flowing water as how dirty it is,the same way beauty is with age. As time passes by, one gets old and not look the same but what stays with you is your inner beauty for people to remember and appreciate life-long. Make a mark with permanent beauty that lays within you and not on temporary satisfactions.:)
